We have some important developments to share with you- tomorrow, there will be a full Foreign
Relations Committee hearing in Capitol Hill USA at 10 am EST. The news came late so we
won’t be in the hearing room of the House Foreign Relations Office. There will possibly be going
to be a mention of NRCE-GIE and the future democratic government of Eritrea, courtesy of

Other important developments in Ethiopia, we are getting ready to hand out Transitional Eritrean
Government In Exile (TEGIE) ID Cards, an Estimated 3000 ID Cards to start. Our ID
Cards will be legit and recognized by country laws. The main purpose of our IDs is to
give protection to our brothers and sisters in Ethiopia from unnecessary detentions and
Prison time. Our TEGIE will give them representation and advocate on their behalf.
We have a one-room office now, but planning to expand and hire two full-time employees.
We are getting cooperation from the authorities.
Last but not least is the importance to discuss about Interim or Transitional Constitution of
Eritrea. I repeat, it is only a transitional or Interim Constitution, not a permanent Constitution,
which should be done inside Eritrea. If you are interested in the discussion and drafting of such
