Overview of NRCE-GIE and Political Roadmap

Overview of NRCE-GIE and Political Roadmap It is founded on the core national values and principles and is based inside Eritrea and abroad. NRCE-GIE has been established to safeguard the Eritrean people’s freedom and the country’s integrity and independence and to ensure a peaceful transition to constitutional democracy in Eritrea.

Fundamental values and principles: the independence of Eritrea has been achieved through a long bloody struggle and heavy sacrifices. The aspirations of the Eritrean people for freedom and dignity have, however, been betrayed, the struggle hijacked by the oppressive regime to serve the interest of the few; the country’s economy depleted; and the people’s social fabric fragmented. To change the appalling situation, NRCE-GIE strives to mobilize a united force to uproot the authoritarian regime and establish a peaceful country ruled by the rule of law and constitutional order.

NRCE-GIE, grounded in the fundamental national values and principles and operating both within Eritrea and internationally, is dedicated to protecting the freedoms of the Eritrean people and the nation’s sovereignty and independence. Its primary objective is to guide Eritrea towards a peaceful transition into a constitutional democracy.
